Happy mail.

Today I recieved the blocks from a siggy swap I joined ages ago.
A few members dropped out or vanished so it took longer than expected but they are certainly worth the wait.
Thankyou to everyone who participated and a special thanks to Karin who organized the swap and even sewed my blocks together when my machine was being a butt head.
I had all my blocks sewed and ready and just before I sent them I realized I had made them about half an inch too small. So I cut new ones and then my machine decided to stop working at that time.
Karin sewed mine together for me and I am very great full.

Well here they are.

I have finished my fisrt block for my clover and violet garden steps  quilt a long. I should have pressed it before I took the photo. I really like it. It's got my own shakey twist to it. Tomorrow the handstitched class starts at stitched in color . I am super excited!

I'm finished!!!!

My quilt is bound, washed and dried. Need I say more.  The Front  The Back   Butterfly binding!   I am sitting under it at this very moment. I would like to thank Bec from  Chasing Cottons . I used her Quilt Class 101 . It was easy to follow and I am so happy with the result. I think the class ran last year but that doesn't matter. Not too bad for a first try. xxx ooo

Bringing out the big guns!

I had decided to do a little sewing today because I was inspired by this bag  over at clover and violets. When I realised I didn't have any white thread left and my white bobbin has just ran out. I am pretty lazy when it comes to matching thread colours and usually stick to white. This was the closest I am going to get but by the time I had bobbins filled up and everything threaded I didn't have enough time to sew left. I am hoping to get some sewing done tomorrow. I hope tomorrows post will be more eventful or else it's going to be a long October. xxx ooo
